Water Educator Kleyne Explains Importance of Water Supplementation. Sharon Kleyne Celebrates New Water Life Science®.
International water advocate Sharon Kleyne has a question for you. What do you think of when you think of dehydration? Do you think of something drying up—a house plant, a lawn—for lack of moisture? Do you ever associate it with a life threatening situation? Unless you are lost in a desert, you probably don’t worry a lot about dehydration, but you should. Not only can you die from dehydration; you can also become very ill.
Kleyne, host of the nationally syndicated The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water, Global Climate Change and Your Health on VoiceAmerica sponsored by Nature’s Tears® EyeMist®, wants you to understand that we are living in an often threatening environment. Population is growing around the planet by leaps and bounds. Droughts and other natural disasters are on the rise and pollution threatens the very air we breathe, the food we eat and the water we drink.
Kleyne believes that dehydration, the loss of water vapor by the body will eventually be proven to be a symptom of every human disease. Kleyne also believes that dehydration is becoming increasingly pervasive. From the moment you are born and leave the security of the water-filled amniotic sac of your mother, you enter into the atmosphere and the body begins to dehydrate through the process of evaporation. For the rest of your life, several times a day, you need to replace lost water and slow the rate of evaporation. You need to stay engaged with the breath of life, which is the water and oxygen in the atmosphere’s water vapor. The more you understand the importance of water and hydration and put this understanding into practice, the more you’ll prolong your life and improve your health.
Two water-related subjects critical to the understanding of dehydration are atmospheric humidity and drinking water.
Atmospheric humidity refers to the water vapor molecules floating in the air. The air’s water vapor, allows us to absorb oxygen and slows the rate of water evaporation from the body surface. Evaporation of water from skin and eyes into the air is increased by low humidity, direct sunlight, warm temperatures and wind. Perspiration with no water replacement can cause the body to quickly become dehydrated. Under certain conditions, the body is capable of absorbing a significant amount of water directly from the air. The ideal conditions are moderate temperatures and humidity. High humidity is dehydrating because the body depends on the surface evaporation of water, through perspiration, to cool itself. When humidity is high, evaporation slows and the body compensates with increased perspiration. Cold temperatures can be dehydrating because cooler air can’t hold as much humidity as warmer air.
Pollution is dehydrating, Kleyne teaches, because it causes evaporated water molecules in the air to accumulate around pollution particles into small droplets and fall back to Earth prematurely – before reaching the atmosphere’s cloud and rain-forming zone.
Diseases related to dehydration include melanoma, cholera, diarrhea, dry skin, dry eyes, glaucoma, adult acne, corneal ulcers, chronic fatigue and depression, among others. Dehydration is a symptom of nearly all diseases involving fever. Ironically, many medications used to treat disease are themselves dehydrating. Kleyne believes that chronic dehydration decreases resistance to many diseases, including the flu.
The easiest way to avoid dehydration is to drink lots of water. Kleyne recommends at least eight 8-ounce glasses per day, in addition to all other fluids, beginning with two immediately upon rising. Certain foods, mainly meats, tend to be dehydrating while high water content foods such as melon, apples and celery, are more beneficial. When pollution is intense or humidity is low, or if signs of dry skin or eyes are present, Kleyne recommends the use of a 100% pure water, Trade Secret tissue culture grade, patented micron-size mist to create an envelope of clean humid air around the body. That is the purpose of the Bio-Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science® products Natures Tears® EyeMist and Nature’s Mist® Face of the Water®.
