Radio Host Sharon Kleyne Marks 75th Anniversary of Water Pioneer’s Death. Water Life Science® Advocate Sharon Kleyne Honors Charles V Chapin.
Sharon Kleyne, America’s leading water educator, researcher and advocate and the host of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water, Global Climate Change and Your Health on Voice America, recalled the seminal contributions of Charles V. Chapin (1856-1941) on the 75th anniversary of his death.
Chapin was named President of the American Public Health Association in 1927 and was the author of the widely read and influential book, The Sources and Modes of Infection. Chapin, more than any other person, was responsible for instituting a progressive public health movement that led to cleaner, safer drinking water.
Sharon Kleyne is grateful to Chapin for his pioneering research, and she invites you to share your own comments. Do you have a water hero? Let us know!
