Sharon Kleyne Says Juicing Complements Healthy Water Intake

Sharon Kleyne, founder of Bio-Logic Aqua® Research Water Life Science®, knows that raw is not always a good thing. Sharon Kleyne, host of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water, Global Climate Change and Your Health on Voice of America, recently spoke about the health benefits of juicing. While noting that water is the most important component of the human diet and that most of our daily water intake should be in the form of pure water, not juice, soda, coffee or high-water content foods, Kleyne also believes that natural juices consisting of raw vegetables are wonderfully nutritious. “They definitely complement the body’s hydration process,” said Kleyne, “but pure water is still very important”. Kleyne recommends eight glasses of pure fresh water per day in addition to all other fluid intake.

This still leaves plenty of space (and appetite) for raw, organic juices. “Juicing is also fun,” Sharon Kleyne noted, pointing out that one can be imaginative combining ingredients from juice to juice, from day to day. One favorite, for instance, is a concoction of apple, banana, ginger and pineapple. Another is kale, celery, apple and pear. “In fact,” Kleyne said, “juice drinks with a lot of celery in them seem to relieve a lot of the more painful symptoms of arthritis.”

This led to another important factor in adding juicing to one’s diet—weight control. Everybody knows that America faces an unprecedented obesity crisis, especially among children. Juicing is a great way, and a healthy way, to lose weight and keep it off. If you are fifty pounds overweight, try juicing exclusively for a couple of weeks and watch the pounds melt away.

“If you want to live longer, live leaner and feel stronger,” Sharon Kleyne said, “you’d be wise to make juicing a major strategy in your diet.” Kleyne said that juicers also sleep better and perform better at work.
